When You Visit

2012-12-31 14.55.55 What should you expect when you visit our church on a Sunday morning at 10:30? Here’s what you will find:

When you come in the front door of the church, you’ll be greeted by one or two of our members, who will welcome you, hand you a bulletin for the service that day, and help you with any questions you have.

You will also receive a “Welcome to the Maple Glen Church” brochure, with a green visitor’s card inside. We encourage you to fill out the card and place it in the offering plate later in the service.

If you have children under 3 years old, they can be cared for in the nursery while you worship. If you have children who are 3-8 years old, you can bring them into the worship service with you for the first 25-30 minutes of singing, and then they will be dismissed to the children’s church downstairs for the rest of the service.

Our church worship service lasts for about 75 minutes and is a blended of some classic hymns and some contemporary songs. The sermon is illustrated by a power point presentation, and is a practical application of God’s truth from His Word.

Our church auditorium is not air-conditioned, but we do have cooling fans which help a lot. The nursery and the library both have air-conditioning, and you can listen to the sermons there.

Don’t feel that you need to get dressed up to come, but if you are dressed up, you won’t be the only one.
And yes, we do take an offering, but as our guest, don’t feel obligated to put any money in the plate.

On the first Sunday on each month, we celebrate the Lord’s Supper at the end of the service. Anyone is welcome to stay for that last 20 minutes of the service, but only those who are trusting in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior are permitted to partake of the bread and the cup.

We are a small congregation, but we are committed to the Lord and His Word, and we support one another in love.
We hope you will feel like part of a family when you visit us.

Feel free to call us if you have any other questions before you visit.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
